What Should I Do the Day Before My Makeup Appointment?
If you are just reading this and your appointment is tomorrow, don’t worry, you can start here! Include the following in your list of things to do today, and your makeup artist will thank you tomorrow.
- Moisturize your skin!✨ the key to a smooth, long-lasting makeup application ✨.
- I recommended above to exfoliate two to three times throughout the week leading up to your appointment. One of those days is best to be the day before! This way, your skin is fresh and smooth when you wake up!
- Please do NOT sleep in your makeup. This can cause new breakouts, puffiness, and dryness. Do yourself and your makeup artist a favor and remove that makeup.
What Should I do on the Day of My Makeup Appointment ?
Today is the day! Follow these steps before your appointment and let your makeup artist do the rest.
- Wash your face. This is important to get rid of any makeup, oil, or eye boogers that might be left on your skin from the night before. I personally would like to say please, if nothing else, please wash your face.
- Apply a moisturizer and sunscreen. I will apply a primer before application. However, you should apply moisturizer prior to arriving.
- Brush your teeth. If it is early morning, I understand wanting to get breakfast and at least one cup of coffee before you brush your teeth. However, it can be difficult not to ruin your makeup trying to do it afterward.
- Wear a loose-fitting, button-up, or zip-up shirt so you don’t smudge your face taking it off.
